Sierra Nevada - BIGFOOT ALE 

This is an ale to try if you have not yet! Sierra Nevada makes this ale seasonally at the end of the year. Its main purpose is to keep you warm during the cold winter months. With 9.5 percent alcohol there won't be a problem. The high alcohol content of this ale categorizes it as a "Barleywine". Sometimes Barleywines taste very alcoholic and lack the ale taste. Sierra Nevada does an excellent job of balancing out the high alcohol to maintain the malty and hop flavor of an ale. My tastes would prefer a bit more hops in the finishing of this ale...but that's a minor detail.
